J.P. Thomas & Company, Inc. was founded in 1981 by Paul and Sandra Thomas in the driveway of their home in Asheboro. As a family-owned and operated business, the divisions of Thomas have been serving Asheboro and its surrounding areas for over 35 years. Position Description
While under the direct supervision of the Service/Store Manager, performs all aspects of the tire and related service and repair for the commercial trucking, logging and farming industry.

Sanford: Commercial Outside Sales Advisor: 6 months of Sales Experience Preferred or Related Vocational Training
Position Description
While under the direct supervision of the Retail Manager, performs all aspects of promoting and selling Thomas products and related services for Thomas’ Commercial division while maintaining customer relations.

Sanford: Commercial Boom Truck Operator: Minimum of 1-year experience operating a boom truck. Automotive roadside service experience essential.

Position Description
While under the direct supervision of the Store/Division Manager, performs all aspects of field service of Off-road tire and related repair for the commercial vehicle and equipment industry. Adheres to Thomas customer service guidelines and performs duties in a safe and diligent manner.

Aberdeen and Burlington: General Service Technicians: Experience Preferred but Not Required
Position Description
While under the direct supervision of the Service/Store Manager, performs automotive preventive maintenance such as tire repair and changes, oil changes, lubrication procedures, flushes and other fluid service processes.

Aberdeen: Automotive Alignment/Suspension Technician: Minimum of two years of basic automotive alignment and suspension repair.
Position Description
While under the direct supervision of the Service/Store Manager, performs diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on customer vehicles specializing in alignment and suspension maintenance. They will review work orders completed by Sales Advisors to determine customer’s complaints and/or concerns.

Aberdeen: Delivery/Shuttle Driver: Part Time Minimum of 1 year driving and 1-year customer service experience required.
In this rewarding position, you will perform incredible customer relationship management while shuttling our customers to various destinations while we service their vehicles and perform all aspects of the delivery of tires and related products.

East Coast: Bilingual Sales Advisor: Minimum of 6 months of sales experience or related vocational training is essential. Thorough tire product knowledge, selling skills and a basic understanding of the billing process. Must speak fluent Spanish and English.
While under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager, performs all aspects of promoting and selling Thomas products and related services for the automotive and trucking industry while maintaining customer relations. Adheres to Thomas customer service guidelines and performs duties in a safe and diligent manner.

East Coast: Warehouse Technician Part Time: Thorough tire product knowledge. Basic knowledge in logistics, operations or inventory control. Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving experience preferred.
While under the direct supervision of the Warehouse/Sales Manager, performs all aspects of receiving, shipping and controlling inventory for the automotive, commercial tire and off-road industry and related products. Adheres to Thomas customer service guidelines and performs duties in a safe and diligent manner.

East Coast: Delivery Driver Part Time and Full Time Positions Available: Minimum of 6 months in the commercial tire and related services facility. Four or more years’ experience in the commercial tire and related services facility is preferred.
While under the direct supervision of the Warehouse/Store Manager, performs all aspects of the delivery of tires and related products. Adheres to Thomas customer service guidelines and performs duties in a safe and diligent manner.

General Service Technicians: Experience Preferred but Not Required
Position Description
While under the direct supervision of the Service/Store Manager, performs automotive preventive maintenance such as tire repair and changes, oil changes, lubrication procedures, flushes and other fluid service processes.

General Service Shop Foreman: 3 Years of Tire Shop Experience In a Retail Environment (Aberdeen location)
Position Description
While under the direct supervision or in the absence of the Service/Store Manager, is responsible for the management of personnel and the operation of General Service/Tire Line shop floor activities. Has responsibility for the profitability of the store, the efficiency of the personnel, satisfactory customer relations and the operation of the physical facility.

Automotive Master Technicians: 3-5 Years of Comprehensive Automotive Repair Experience Required
Position Description
While under the direct supervision of the Store/Service Manager, completes high level automotive analytical and diagnostics, repair and preventive maintenance on customer vehicles. They will review work orders completed by Sales Advisors to determine customer’s complaints and/or concerns.

General Service B Technicians: 2 Years of Basic Automotive Repair Experience Required
Position Description
While under the direct supervision of the Service/Store Manager, performs diagnostics, repair, alignments and preventive maintenance on customer vehicles. They will review work orders completed by Sales Advisors to determine customer’s complaints and/or concerns.
